Pedal cycle operation on the New king’s Road SW6

Just wanted to share this good news with you.

In recent weeks we, your local police officers, have been receiving reports from you, members of the public, that many cyclists, during early school times, were going through red traffic lights and often not stopping at the pedestrian crossings for parents and their children. As a result, we decided to hold a pedal cycle operation on the New king’s Road SW6. I took part in such an operation today (19/11/2025) at 0800 hours. Those who went through the red lights were informed that they had contravened Section 36 of the Road traffic Act, and issued a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN). As a result of this operation, ten FPNs were issued.
